ICET projects

Below, several or our recent (consultancy) projects and trainings have been described.

France
In France, ICET recently conducted a SAVER Advanced Aircraft Rescue Training: Participants were trained on how the apply the SAVER method in situation of a large plane crash. The training taught emergency response personnel how to enter an airplane, how to make use of rescue equipment, stabilization, extrication of victims and protection of emergency response personnel and incident surroundings.

 

Sri Lanka
ICET designed and implemented a large project in Sri Lanka for the Sri Lankan government, addressing different components of the disaster management chain. The project includes the following main components:
  • Upgrading and establishment of Fire and Rescue Services.
  • The design and implementation of a disaster communication system, linking disaster management agencies at different levels of governance.
  • The design and implementation of a Early Warning System including 50 Early Warning Towers, workshops and community awareness programs.

Qatar
Training of a Quatar Search and Rescue Team in rescue techniques for road traffic incidents, fire fighting, hazmat incidents, aircraft incidents, swift water rescue and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR).

 

India
ICET has equipped and trained Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in India.

 

The Nederlands
Advising companies on how to set up and practice a emergency response plan and on how to map existing risks within the company and in its surroundings. ICET has also trained the emergency department of Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC).
